Hello! I'm Kristen. I'm an artist living in the beautiful Bay Area, California. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of sitting at my grandma's table (she was also an artist) with a set of felt pens and a sketchbook. This may be where I learned that art is really about making the world a little more beautiful.

Today, I paint murals and public art, create illustrations primarily in ink and watercolor and paint pet portraits in acrylic. My work is colorful, whimsical and detailed- I want each piece to tell a story and bring some joy into people's lives.

I studied applied Art and Graphic Design at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, which taught me a lot about design, color and composition, but my favorite projects were always the hands-on ones...drawing, painting, hand lettering. As wonderful as digital media is, there's something special about putting a brush to canvas that you just can't get from a computer screen.

Whether I'm transforming a wall with a large mural or capturing someone's beloved pet in paint, I approach every project with the same goal- to create something that makes people smile and connects us through art. My work is driven by a simple belief- that we all deserve a little more beauty and joy in our everyday lives.
